    • a core set of products and services, priced to sell at a variety of levels in your target market
    Month 5: Promotion
    You’ll develop and begin to implement relationship-building strategies to promote your firm, both on and off-line, including how to…
    • get booked for talks
    • get articles published, on and offline
    • find the right places to network and how to use networking effectively
    • the best ways to use direct outreach (i.e., direct mail and calls) for your firm and in your industry
    • generate referrals systematically

    Month 6: Persuasion
    You’ll develop a sales approach that enables your firm to…

    • effectively manage and conduct the selling conversation on the telephone, in meetings, with multiple decision makers
    • turn prospects into clients and more quickly, reassigning those that aren’t ready, and eliminate those that should not be clients

    • use clear, straight-forward proposals to document the agreement you’ve negotiated with a new client
    Month 7: Performance
    Performance is where real marketing happens, and it’s not just the delivery of your expertise that matters. During this month, you’ll focus on how to manage and exceed client expectations on a number of fronts by looking at how to…
    • create a laser-like alignment between your firm’s "brand promise" to the market and the internal activities/behaviors of management and employees
    • develop next-level strategies for existing clients and new markets
    • create forward motion and momentum for all your marketing efforts by getting vendors and outside service providers to pull in the same direction
    • raise the role of strategic marketing in your practice to a conscious level by getting it on the agenda on a regular, systematic basis
