I’m Kelly O’Brien, founder of TurningPointe Marketing, and I’ve been helping businesses align with their markets since 1984.
I choose to work with professional service firms because I really understand how frustrating it can be to have lots to offer your clients, but not the expertise or ability to effectively and consistently reach them through a successful approach to marketing your services!
TurningPointe™ Marketing, Inc. represents nearly two decades of learning how to successfully get my professional expertise used, hard-won lessons, and many happy clients along the way…
I spent two fast years as co-founder and CEO of a high-tech start-up, MoneyLife, Inc., an e-marketing and sales application to help the financial services industry tap the women's market, for which I was named Social Entrepreneur finalist in Fast Company magazine’s "Fast 50" awards.
For ten years, I was a rainmaker and client manager of my own consulting firm, Dailey & O’Brien, Inc., a change management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation consulting firm.
I was also a program director and educator at Georgetown University’s School for Professional Development.
And it all started with eight years of developing and marketing HR and training services to internal clients and hospitality professionals for Marriott Corporation. Throughout these ventures, I’ve led business development and marketing strategies, attracted a steady stream of clients, garnered national attention in media such as the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company Magazine, CBS News, Washington Business Journal, Women’s Business Journal, and Training Magazine, and moved my clients to their next level of success.
With a master’s degree in Human & Organization Development from George Washington University, I have a solid understanding of how best to help people and organizations move forward to achieve their goals.
As a member of the Board of Directors for the United Professional Sales Association (UPSA), I can introduce my clients to the professional standards, compendium of knowledge, and vast network of contacts available through my role as Chair of UPSA's Marketing Committee.
I’m a life-long ballet dancer and Francophile, thus the intentional "e" at the end of TurningPointe™. I live in Washington, DC with my French Chartreux cat, Paris.
